The objective of project is to install the water transmission pipeline D2000 (L=12km) from the clean water pumping station of Tan Hiep Water Plant to An Suong Intersection and D1800 (L= 12km) from An Suong Intersection to Tay Thanh (connected to the existing transmission pipeline of SAWACO).

The project of clean water supply system from Kenh Dong water plant - Water treatment plant No. 1 is the largest water supply project implemented under the socialization regulation ever. The project started at the end of 2006 and completed in early 2013.

The project has a total capacity of 240,000m3/day, taking water from the East canal and Dau Tieng lake. This water source will supply residential areas in Cu Chi district, urban areas northwest of the city, industrial zones in Cu Chi, Hoc Mon and Duc Hoa districts (Long An).
The objective of this sub-project is to install the clean water transmission pipeline D2000 (Length=12km) from the clean water pumping station of Tan Hiep Water Plant to An Suong intersection and the D1800 pipeline (Length=12km) from An Suong crossroads to Tay Thanh (connecting with SAWACO's existing transmission pipeline). In the immediate future, these pipelines are used to receive and convey 150,000m3/day from Tan Hiep Water Plant supplied by Kenh Dong Water Plant. In the long term, the project's goal is to receive and convey an additional 300,000m3/day from the Saigon River water project phase 2.
